Recommendations for a dog friendly UK break that won't break the bank

We haven't been away for years dd is now 17 and I'd like to go away while she's still happy to go with us.
Can anyone recommend somewhere about 2 hours from manchester, dog friendly for less than £500 for at least a 4 night stay but not a caravan?
I've tried looking but it's a bit of a minefield and I don't really know where to start.
I was thinking lakes, North Wales or yorkshire

( tho some of the properties are more of a dogs allowed rather than welcome :) and if you only have one dog you shouldn't have too much trouble finding somewhere ( I have 4 hence joining the group )

Does it need to be during the school holidays?

Personally I feel North Wales as the weather is usually good, plenty to see and do for all budgets.
Caravan would be easiest Air B&B would be next option.
I would look around Conwy, llandudno or the Llyn Peninsular
