Hotel in London flying into Stanstead

I'm flying to Stansted for a 2 day trip with my ds and dd in June.
Where would be a good area in London to stay. They want just a touristy weekend, Buckingham Palace, Big Ben etc.
I'm on a budget and looking at a direct train journey from Stanstead to somewhere, it's only for 2 nights so not too far out?

Premier Inn next to the London Eye is in a good location for walking to all the sights

The Stansted Express goes to Liverpool Street Station which is really well connected to most other parts of London - it’s on 4 or 5 different tube lines. Ibis London City is very close to Liverpool St and has family rooms, triple rooms etc…
