Llanberis to Bangor

I am not an intrepid traveller, but have booked an adventure.

I'm going wild swimming for a weekend in Snowdonia. It's an organised trip and they'll collect me from Bangor Station.

It's a long way for me to go for a weekend and the same company is running a cycling and hiking weekend the previous weekend in Llanberis. They'll also collect from Bangor.

So if I booked both weekends and had a few days solo walking from Llanberis in between, how would I get back to Bangor Station for the 2nd weekend?

I think there's a walk, but I'll have all my gear and I need a seeping bag for the 2nd weekend. It's doable if the trail isn't too challenging. Or public transport? Taxi?

It looks like you could do big walks

Or
The there is a small, more direct, 3.5 hr walk (see photo)

Or there is a train.(scroll down for non BH times)

Could you share a link for the company/wild swimming please? I would love to go at some point and am a bit of wimp so an organised group sounds idea.
Thank you.

I can't believe I hadn't found the train! Think I'd assumed that as the company collect from Bangor that's as far as you can go. Thank you, that gives me some options.

The company is Much Better Adventures. They have lots of exciting looking trips, but I haven't used them before so can't recommend, but they were very helpful through the booking process.

Now I just need to learn to swim....

I would ask if you could meet the group nearer Llanberis - the wild swimming venue might well be nearer to there than to Bangor. Have fun!

Have a great time, its a fantastic area, might be worth getting the train to Conwy or llandudno as both are worth a visit whilst in the area.
I think you may be able to get a train down to Harlech and Barmouth too another nice route

Apologies if I've misunderstood a PP, but there's no train from Bangor to Llanberis. The timetable above is for a bus. The buses in Snowdonia are really good, but the only trains in Llanberis are the steam trains which go around the lake and up Snowdon/Yr Wyddfa.
