I grew up in the South Hams and go back most summers. What do you want to know?

Its a stunning area with good access to nice beaches and little towns and villages. There is lots to do with kids beyond teh great beaches and running round Dartmoor. There are two great adventure parks river dart county park and woodlands. Paignton Zoo is also nearby. There are loads more places I could recommend depending on what you like doing .

Used to go there every year on holiday. Lovely place Bantham beach is (at least, was) very unspoiled and lovely for a real family holiday. My family had a caravan on a site near Bantham, which has since been sold, but my parents still go to this area with my two younger siblings, and rent a cottage on someones farm - could be the same place?

Thanks folks-just needed some reassurance. DH went there as a child but as he usually cant remember what he did last week did not want to rely on his memory alone! Yes it is a cottage on someone's farm. Will send off deposit cheque asap!
