M6 - services or just off M6 food

I alreadyknow about Tebay services but I am looking for somewhere that has good food on the M6, Manchester ish area? Would come off the motorway and travel a couple of miles for a good lunch. Coming down from Scotland and heading for Birmingham.

Centre of sandbach is nice. There’s also a hungry horse type pub not far from the motorway at Standish.

Sandbach. There's a pub/restaurant called the Old Hall with parking. Anywhere else in Sandbach town would require parking and then walking to it.

Have a look on tripadvisor for Knutsford. It's a pretty affluent place so should have some good eateries but I don't know it well enough to recommend anywhere in particular or there should be some decent country pub type places in that area not far off the M6. The Swan at Winwick is quite a nice pub and it's only a few minutes from the M6/M62 interchange in Warrington.

Yep, the swan is OK and dead easy off the motorway or J22 and Groobarbs for something a bit different or The Bears Paw on the same road.

The little manor at Thelwall or the Bears Paw on the A50 towards knutsford.

The paddock at wrightington is lovely - lovely restaurant in a food market type place. The white lion for lovely pub food is not far from there too. Both about 5 mins from junction 27 for Standish.
