Day trip to Southsea

We are going for a day trip to Southsea with 2 DC (7 and 9). Could I have any recommendations of things to do there? We haven’t been before but have done Portsmouth many times

There are amusements, an aquarium, a model village all down by the sea which my kids liked at that age. However my kids liked watching the hovercraft land on the beach best.

Actually 9 may be a bit old for the model village.
