Arundel Castle with young children?

We are staying nearby with our young children. Is it worth a visit with little ones? We are trying to find places to go where there are no dogs as my children are so scared of them! The castle is assistance-dog only

It’s fab, we went in August 2020 with 6 children from 13yr to 2yr. Also went some years before that. The town itself is also worth an explore.

Aldingbourne Country Centre might be worth a look too, if they are OK with other animals.

Yes! Arundel castle is amazing, one of my favourite places in the U.K.
They have the most beautiful gardens with plenty of space for the kids to run off steam and on hot days they even have sprinklers turned on for the grass (which the kids have been known to run through and have a blast!)
The inside of the castle is interesting but probably more for the adults benefit! I highly recommend it to anyone though regardless of kids ages. (And try to get down the black rabbit for lunch if you can, it's lovely place!)

Also swanbourne lake doesn't usually have dogs around either due to the many many ducks running about. This is right near the castle too☺️

Arundel Wetlands Centre is lovely too. Not sure about dogs though.

Arundel Castle is lovely, and the tulip festival is on at the moment too,so the gardens will look great.

Arundel castle is amazing, with beautiful gardens and fun sprinklers for kids. The inside is more for adults, but highly recommended for all ages. Don't miss lunch at the Black Rabbit. Swanbourne lake is dog-free due to the ducks.

Arundel castle is fab with young children. The gardens are wonderful. I second the Wetlands; they usually have kids activities to get involved with (hunt trails/pond dipping sort of thing). It's a lovely town to wander around and you can be at the beach in 15 minutes (I live nearby). Amberley museum is also excellent for children, which is not far from Arundel.

I live locally, the wetlands centre is brilliant and again assistance dogs only. The castle is great too, sometimes in the holidays they have reenactment days etc.
Also it's not too far to Chichester where there's fishbourne Roman palace, the novo museum and the cathedral.
