Easter Monday Surrey/Sussex/Hampshire?

Help. My Dd (9) has a friend (10) who is coming over on Monday. We have promised them a day out but the friend has been to most London attractions: eg child-friendly exhibitions, museums, West End shows etc.

We want to go somewhere not too far from London for the day as she’s less likely to have experienced it. We have done nearly all National Trust places and friend has done Leeds and Hever castles.

Is there a fun place for an Easter Egg hunt and maybe a posh afternoon tea in somewhere like Surrey? Most places are closed on Mondays.

Have you been to Chenies Manor House? It's in Bucks; took about 45m from London when we were there in October. We found it very interesting, and they're doing a family day with tea on Monday.

Knockhatch is great fun and has some Easter activities this weekend. No posh afternoon tea, but a waffle house instead!

Thank you for both those helpful suggestions! They’re on the list.

Does anyone have another recommendation for near Reigate or Dorking for afternoon tea or lunch?
