Me & Dh have 1 day this week where the kids will be with the grandparents. We would like to go away for the night, not too far from London. About an hour away from London. Going Sunday & returning on Monday.

what would you suggest?

Had a lovely trip to St Alban's once :)

An hour from London is a bit tricky, depends which part of London you're starting from!

St Albans isn’t too far from us, we’re more North London so I guess that would work out. Any particular hotels you recommend?

If the trains are running properly, it's about an hour from Victoria :)

Rye is lovely. Good restaurants, lots of independent shops , if the weather is ok you can walk/ take bus to camber sands, or go down towards the bird reserve all the way to the sea if you like the idea. You need to change at Ashford though for a train and it’s about 1.5 hrs from St Pancras.
