Hi everyone, I had such good recommendations when I asked about ideas for short trips with my daughter, so I'm returning to ask about ideas for:
A quirky/beautiful /romantic/recommended for any other reason hotel or bnb for a short break (2 nights) with my husband, max a couple of hours from London by train, preferably somewhere scenic.
We don't have time to sightsee so the focus is on a nice place to stay + some nice nature, access to good food.
Ideas?

Lewes is one of my favourite places quirky and beautiful.

This is romantic - lots of sofas and low lighting, good food, great rooms, but I'm not sure where the nearest train station is:

Oooh thank you everyone! Last time, we went to bath and I loved it, so wouldn't be opposed to going again. I'll have a look at these options :)

York is a lovely city and no car needed. Might be a bit closer to 3 hours in the train though.

Thanks all. York was lovely but a tad far. I'm also exploring the option of Bradford Apon Avon, near Bath. Looks lovely!

Cozy Couples Glamping in Edale. DH and I went without a car last year. We’re going back in June. The farmer who owns it sells breakfast and BBQ packs of local meat and produce.
