Haven Holidays - Weymouth

I am single mum with one ds (4) and am looking to book a break for us both this summer. I have been looking at Haven and as I have never done a holiday like that before, wondered if anyone had any tips etc. We are looking at Weymouth bay for four days (adding a spot of camping for a few days after that).

Anyone been? Tips? Fors/Againsts?

Thank you

Hi we went to Weymouth bay 7/8 years ago with Haven. My friends children were a bit old (11 and 13), but it could be a good holiday for a younger child. I would advise paying for the most upmarket mobile home ypu possibly can - we spent most of the evenings in the mobile and it was good to be comfortable etc.

We found it difficult to get a seat in the club in the evening - get there early!
Some people are a bit 'sniffy' re; haven but I think its what you make it and you can take what you want from the holiday (e.g entertainment/ swimming pool etc) We personally found the food on site -mainly chips, chips and chips so made sure that we took some food and some wine or went shopping in the day. Its a bit of a way from Weymouth (not nice walk).

But think from memeory there may have been a bus? in to Weymouth....

In the same year we went to Devon Cliffs (also Haven) and much preferred Weymouth Bay - that bit smaller and quieter (esp at night).

There's a bus stop right outside i think. Or you can flag it down.

Many thanks for that - think I will take the plunge!
