Alternatives to Center Parcs for three-generation short break

We had a December break at CP with GP (70’s) and young teens last year.

It was fun and GP are keen to repeat the experience. I’m just wondering if there are any alternatives? Kids (and grandad) loved the swimming and badminton, I liked the spa but the other activities were a bit tame or not ideal for December, and I think the ‘luxury villa’ might have been fashioned from cardboard. We self catered apart from one dismal Cafe Rouge breakfast.

Any ideas for an alternative? It does not need to be a ‘holiday camp’, although it’s great to have stuff for teens to do. We are near London (eastwards)

Have a look at Potters Resort in Norfolk.
It's great for a multi generation holiday, we go once a year with extended family and everyone has a great time.

It's all inclusive so all food, drink and nearly all the activities are included in the price and there is so much to do.

Not sure on your budget but it's not cheap however once your there you don't need to pay for anything so we feel it's value for money

Bluestone in Wales. We went a few weeks ago for the first time and loved it!

They have built new 'luxury' lodges albeit we didn't have one of those as they had sold out. You get a buggy included (or can hire separately if in another type of accommodation) which is great for exploring the complex.

Wave pool, soft play and outside playground are all included in the cost. There is a small village in the middle which has a small shop, which isn't actually overpriced (similar to a Sainsbury's Local) which surprised me. It's also situated in a national park so you can do various walks if you are outdoorsy. Otherwise there are add on activities like archery.

Thanks all. I considered Bluestone but my parents are late seventies and might struggle to drive that far in a day.

They live in Norfolk however, so Potters might be good. I’ll take a look!

Butlins bognor. Stay in the hotel not the apartments or chalets. The Wave hotel has a room you could all stay in with kitchen facilities.

Pool is brilliant. Spa in the other hotel.

Food is fine on the hotel plan.

Kids will love it.

You can get involved or as not involved as you want in the other stuff.

Way better than CP which is dated, tired and overpriced in my recent experience
