Somewhere lovely in the New Forest?

Looking for recommendations for a nice place to stay in the New Forest for an anniversary weekend away. Open to any style from pub with rooms to spa hotel, but would like good food, a bit of style, and a pretty location. I liked the look of Burley Manor but recent reviews have put me off. Thanks in advance!

They had a lovely time. There is loads to do nearby, Beaulieu Motor Museum, Bucklers Hard, Exbury Gardens etc. Also Lymington is a beautiful town, with easy access to the forest itself and also coastal. Beaulieu itself is a lovely thriving village.

Thank you for the recommendations, lots to look at I'd forgotten about the Pig, we've been to the one in Studland which was lovely so that could be an option. Limehouse looks stunning but the prices are a bit eye watering!

Careys Manor or Balmer Lawn in Brockenhurst - both have spas, but Careys Manor is particularly good :)

Careys Manor seems a good bet, thanks all. Does anyone know of any nice gastropub-with-rooms type places they'd recommend?

The Montagu Arms in Beaulieu is a hotel and a gastro pub. It has Monty’s which is their gastro pub and has a lovely menu, but they also have The Terrace restaurant which is more fine dining.

The Pig, Chewton Glen, Lime Wood

I stayed for one night at Carey's Manor a few years ago with friends, the spa was absolutely lovely. We ate in the Zen Garden restaurant there which was also very nice (Thai food)

The Crown Manor is where we stay, on the High St. it's lovely

High Corner Inn in the north of the Forest has rooms and good food.

The White Buck is lovely
