2 days alone in Blackpool in February...

I'm taxiing my DS to a 2 day sports training camp near Blackpool in half term so each day I'll be on my own for about 6 hours. I'm a bit stuck what to do with myself. If the weather forecast is to be believed it's going to be cold but dry so being outdoors should be ok but there's a limit to how many walks along the prom I can do. I'm scared of heights so going up the Tower is a non starter! The best thing I have come up with so far is that I could go to the zoo one day. I will have my car so could go a bit further afield if there is anything interesting in the surrounding area. Anyone got any suggestions?

Not the best time of year to be stuck there! It depends what sort of thing you are into, but here are my suggestions:

Lunch in Lytham - nice cafes, attractive buildings, and a bracing walk along Lytham Green to see the windmill.
A day at Ribby Hall Spa just outside Blackpool.
The model village opposite the zoo is kind of charming in a really old-school way.
Cinema, if the weather really bleak.

You can have afternoon tea at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom and listen to the magnificent Wurlitzer organ being played.Might not be up your street but would be inside and warm.
