Recommendations for a 4/5 * Spa Hotel please 🙏

Up to five hours drive north of York. Easy ish drive. So far Fonab Castle is the only place on my list.

Not too stuffy/formal with an informal dining option.

Swinton Estate. The modern part of the castle has an informal restaurant.

Grantley Hall, various restaurants in the grounds.

Maybe too close?

The Tawny.

Too close @HarlaEB but thank you. I was a member of Swinton Park for a few years and been to Grantley loads. Also been a spa member at Rudding Park.

Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa ( but maybe too far)

There are loads in the lakes.

Another Place in the Lake District

We’ve got family in the lakes and go loads so want to go a bit further north.

I think Loch Fyne might be too far.

I keep coming back to Fonab. It’s only two nights, leaving at lunchtime on Friday and back Sunday eve for work on Monday.
