Liverpool Docks - where to stay?

We'd like to stay in the Liverpool Docks area. I like the look of Holiday Inn, Premier Inn, Leonardo Hotel and Staybridge Apartment, but haven't ruled out Pullman and Crowne Plaza. Can anyone recommend any of these, or have any comments on them/location.

I've stayed at the Crowne Plaza. Room was as expected for a chain, staff were very friendly and helpful. I thought the breakfast was a bit expensive so walked into the city centre to Wetherspoons.
One of the best things about it is because it's bang next door to the Liver Building it's so easy to find. Go out for an evening meal and you can walk back and use the towers of the LB to orientate yourself!

The Premier Inn in the Royal Albert Dock was lovely when we stayed last summer - pic of the room attached minus DD's face! It's right next to the Beatles attraction, too.

The Premier Inn there is really nice! Converted warehouse, so lots of features. Excellent location for all attractions.

I vote for the Premier Inn. We had a massive family room. One of the best we've stayed in.

Crown Plaza is nice enough, but I like Malmaison and the Hotel Indigo.

I like Malmaison which is close.

I live in Liverpool, the others are a bit of a walk. Premier inn is deffo the closest / best. It’s not like your usual premier inn either as someone’s pictured above!

Pullman hotel. It's lovely and really good staff. Always stay there now.

The Premier Inn every time. Book early, it gets fully booked up because it's so good.

Also book tables for dinner early, we literally could not get a free table in Liverpool anywhere within walking distance on the night we hadn't booked! The night we had booked e went to the Salt House Tapas which was fab, hope it's still going.
