Me and my Sister (40's and 50's) are going away with our Mum (83) in late March for a few days. Mum is spritely for her age, but these days can't walk too far without getting out of breath. We like interesting shops to browse, historic houses/National Trusts, museums, a few restaurants etc, but not looking for long countryside or coastal walks etc (save those for when I'm with the Husband). Ideally within a 2 hour driving radius of South Oxfordshire and Southampton. Considering Chichester - any thoughts? Many thanks!

Bath?

@wubwubwub thanks. Me and Mum have done Bath a few years ago, but not with my Sister so worth thinking about another visit.

Winchester might be nice too, and you can always visit Portsmouth area? That's good for a visit.

Salisbury?

Bradford on Avon is a very pretty little town, close to NT Westwood Manor and Farleigh Hungerford Castle. It’s got a cute little museum, lots of tea rooms, shops and cafes. It’s also possible to take a boat trip along the canal https://www.bradfordonavon.co.uk/explore/the-barbara-mclellan-canal-boat/

I’d probably do Arundel over Chichester if your mum can manage hills - could always have a day in Chichester from there.

I really like Rye but that may be a bit far from South Oxfordshire.
