Uk Easter family hotel break ideas

Have posted in chat too but not had any responses yet so fingers crossed for here - need to get this booked asap as prices keep increasing!

We’re in UK before Easter for a family wedding the weekend after.
Decided to add a few days to make a family holiday but now I don’t know where to go!
please suggest hotels rather than just town/city places.
We will have a car.
Probably not London as will stay over summer and have a car - but could do a town where we could get train into London?
Am looking for some ideas of where to visit/stay.

We will arrive in Liverpool Holy Friday, before Easter Sunday.

The wedding is the following Saturday in North Yorkshire.
So where to go/do for a week!!
We have DC 8/10 years.

Ideally I’d love a nice reasonably priced hotel for first 3 nights, over Easter and then an apartment/air b &b for the other nights.
Has anyone any hotel ideas - really with things to do, pool, kids club / disco would be amazing, decent pool etc

We live in the middle of nowhere in the deepest countryside so busy bustling towns/cities/holiday park/theme park/museums/life is what we’re after 😉

I guess it’s a premium time over Easter, cost wise - maybe we should do apartment over bank holiday days then hotel?

We are hiring a car and will travel anywhere within reason.
Where would you stay??
All ideas so appreciated

Fri-Monday in Liverpool for your city fix and then Mon-fri at centre parcs in Cumbria might work. It’ll be eye wateringly expensive in the school holidays though.
if you’re really desperate then Blackpool might be an option (it’s as rough as can be but probably ticks many of your boxes and a lot cheaper), just check things like the pleasure beach will be open.

Family rooms at The Belfry near Birmingham aren’t ludicrously expensive. It’s a very family-orientated hotel with lots to do and there’s always extra kids activities in the school holidays. It’s close to Tamworth Snowdome, Drayton Manor, Twycross Zoo, Cadbury World, Birmingham Legoland Discovery Centre and Birmingham Sea Life.
