Best place to park to get into London travelling from north

Looking at travelling to London next week for a show but we want to avoid the trains. I was wondering where is best to park around the North side of the M25 to get a local train or tube. Does High barnet or Cockfosters car parks fill up first thing?

If you don’t mind driving in, you might be able to find a parking space on Just Park near the venue. There’s no congestion charge in place from the 25th to the 2nd of Jan I think.

Ulez is still in place though

Cockfosters car park normally fills up early on weekdays (may be easier next week with people on holiday) and you can often get parked on a nearby residential street if you don't mind a walk to the station.

High Barnet car park is smaller - often spaces available on JustPark close by which you can prebook to be on the safe side.

High Barnet car park fills up quickly. Cockfosters or Oakwood might be possible; also Stanmore on the Jubilee line. Is it a weekday, or a weekend?

A road called Merrivale has a stretch with no houses where it crosses the railway lines, and free parking, 7-8 mins walk from Oakwood station. Many other roads near Oakwood are also only restricted between 2 and 3pm.

Canons Park on Jubilee line. There is a car park but also places to park on the street depending on time. Stanmore also has a car park, but difficult to find anywhere else if full
