i want to go on holiday this year in april/may/june time. there will be my dh, my 3 and a bit year old and me - and the baby in my tummy which is due to appear 1st week of july! we live in wiltshire and don't want to travel too far. my daughter is a water baby so that's why i liked the look of devon cliffs. also we like spending time on the beach. can anyone give me any hints/tips/reccommendations for the haven parks along this section of the south coast or haven in general.

Ooh, I should work for Haven - I love all of them! I have been to most of them. Devon Cliffs is the biggest but is up in a cliff so I would worry about dc's falling off. Rockley in Poole is steep hilly/ravine like in places - long walk back from club to some parts but you are near to Sandbanks and Poole Harbour is stunning.
Devon Cliffs has it's own private beach (lots of steps) and a spa. Great views but massive park - I'd go in the car rather than walk with a small baby - have a rest!
Weymouth has 3 parks - Littlesea has the most activities, the other 2 are quieter and smaller but are more in the town. Littlesea is near Chesil beach which is nice.
Not been to Church Farm, but looks quiet.
Combe Haven is all singing all dancing - I think I've been but can't remember (i have been to most of them!)
We stayed at Rockley for a week when Dorset Steam Fair was on (Aug Bank holiday onwards) so went to that which was ace - but that is a 10 acre site so mega walking over straw/mud with a buggy!
I would go for Devon Cliffs if you can afford it (caravan grades have changed - we always stay in what was gold as they have heated bedrooms (no freezing kids!) and a 3 sided cot rail to put a moses basket in/travel cot, hire shop for buggies/highchairs etc.
Combe Haven would be second choice.
All will have soft play and under 4's club going on all season - character shows are good, and you can have breakfast with Rory the Tiger etc (oh yeah, the kids loved that bit too!! )
Haven will give you free baby food (may have to ask which restaurant you need to go in though), facilities for baby changing can be a bit iffy/icky sometimes in the clubs, but are usually very good - DD was 5 weeks old when we went to one in Wales and we found it was really good overall with a small baby in tow.

We went to Devon CLiffes last July and it was fabulous.

Great - good clean site, amazing caravans, all very new and well equipped
MAssiveTesco down the road, great kids play park in Exmouth town. Also on enterance to the site there is the World of Country Life...fabulous and well worth the money but restaurant very expensive ie. Bagettes £8-10 and Jacket Pots £6-7. Take a picnic.
Site swimming pool is great and again very clean and well organised.

Poor - Private beach is full of seaweed and the smell made me sick....steep steps also down to beach. Go to Exmouth beach, very clean

We also have 2 trips out 1. To Bigbury on Sea - a must fantastic beach, with fa deli-cafe for great food to take down to beach

Also went to Sidmouth for the day and stopped off at some lovely pubs for a change

go for it you wont be disappointed.
