WHAT AREAS ARE NICE TO LIVE IN POOLE

I’m sure this question has come up several times, so apologies for repeating, but nothing that I can see recently.
I’m thinking of moving to Poole and would really appreciate some guidance on areas. I’ve concentrated my search on areas I can afford and I’ve seen some really nice houses in Parkstone (Upper) for around £400k but from what I’ve read I should probably avoid it. I visited in October to get a feel and whilst some roads were an obvious no no, there were what appeared to be some really nice roads like Uppleby Rd, Cheltenham Rd, Buckland Rd, Gladstone Rd and Beaconsfield Rd. There were a few nice ones in Branksome and Oakdale too, but again, not sure of the area. Thank you!

I live near Branksome in an allegedly not so nice area according to some and I love where we live. We moved here 3 years ago nearly (from another local area) and it is the most peaceful and friendly street we have ever lived on.

I would avoid the Bourne Estate and Some parts of Rossmore Road. I would also avoid Aldeney.

Branksome, upper and lower Parkstone are all nice areas to me. I have friends in Oakdale and they love it there. I have got friends on Canford Heath and they enjoy it there but there are roads to avoid.

For your budget you can get nice roads around Branksome and Parkstone. Not the best most amazing roads but nice roads.

@OhhhhhhhhBiscuits that’s really helpful and reassuring, thank you! I’m visiting in February to have another look around so will explore the areas you mention.
