Low Wood Bay hotel and Lake District

DP and I have been bought two nights at Low Wood Bay in March, which is wonderful. Could anyone give us any information about the hotel and any suggestions for things to do in the area while we are there. Thanks

We had access to the spa there years ago when self-catering. It was nice then and basically it's in the Lakes, so walking, sight-seeing, watersports, eating, drinking and seaside if you want to go to the coast. Lovely.

Stock Ghyll force is a lovely walk you can do from the hotel, not strenuous but the waterfalls are beautiful. High Sweden Bridge is another you can do from the hotel but is a tougher walk. If you have a car Bowness is lovely, you could walk up Orrest Head for 360 views and then have a meal at Porto, the food is always amazing.
