Best place for a solo pre-theatre dinner between Euston and the London Coliseum?

I'm in London for a (very stupid and pointless) work trip. I have an evening to kill so I'm looking for somewhere nice to eat alone on a Tuesday evening before the opera.

Vegetarian, not super fancy, but a bit of a treat.

Any suggestions?

Have you been to Mildred's?

At the back of Euston is Drummond Street, famous for its row of veggie Indian restaurants with their spectacular fan-shaped lentil dhosas. If you like Indian food, go there.

You could head straight towards the Coliseum and go for the Japanese restaurant Eat Tokyo on Catherine Street parallel to St Martin's Lane, which has good veggie options but usually a queue.

There's also a couple of Cote branches nearby - one on St Martins and one in Covent Garden, which are very friendly to lone diners ime, and have reasonable veggie options.

One of the eateries in the Banana Warehouse at Seven Dials Market. There’s loads of seating where I regularly see people eating alone.

Lots of good suggestions, thank you.

Leaning towards Mildred's at the moment.

Drummond Street is very handy for my hotel, but I think I'll eat too much curry and fall asleep.
