Can anybody recommend a lovely cottage in Northumberland

I'm going bog-eyed from trawling the internet! We want a lovely cottage near the beach, with garden area, and walkable to a pub (!). We are taking dd who will be 2 so needs to be child friendly. I'm prepared to spend a little more to get something a bit special as its our anniversary as well!

found this one a while ago when looking for ourselves. Didn't rent it but it looks great.

Where are you looking? Craster/Embleton and Newbiggin by the sea all lovely - pubs and beach nearby.

Thankyou, don't really know the area very well, am just after somewhere not too far away thats on the coast. Have always fancied Northumberland. The coastline looks beautiful.

Oh it is, and the beaches are huge and never busy. You've picked a wonderful part of the world. We're lucky to have it on our doorstep. Hope you find somewhere special.

We have stayed with Coastal Retreats and I can't recommend them enough.

Beautiful properties, not cheap but you get what you pay for, and VERY child friendly.

We are using them again this year.

Here are some around Bamburgh

Bamburgh is lovely and if you don't find a cottage and can afford it the Victoria Hotel had a great family room when we stayed there
