How on earth do I get tickets for London’s Sky Garden?

Hello,

I’m going to London again in 3 weeks and again in December. Already been in September and October. I tried both times, via the Sky Garden website, to get a ticket. It just says no tickets available so doesn’t open the calendar to allow me to choose a day.

My next visit is in 3 weeks and the man on the door told me they are released 3 weeks in advance. So, here I am checking and checking for my next trip and still getting the no tickets available. Is it my phone??

Im taking my 15 year old daughter next time and I know she would like that. We’ve done the Shard on previous visits. I’m trying to save pennies so opted for the Sky Garden as it’s free.

I also checked out the Horizon 22 website and looks like they have no tickets until mid-December which is past both of my next trips to London.

Does anyone else know of anywhere else we could try?

And, has anyone had success with the SkyGarden website??

We went last year, I just booked it Jen in the website. Tickets were released every Monday for 3 weeks in advance- maybe all of the next 3 weeks are sold out? I would check again on Monday. Definitely worth it though, amazing views!

If you're there anyway why not call in and see if you can get in without a pre booked ticket?

Tbh imo it's nice but not so spectacular that it would be constantly sold out, have they reduced the numbers since COVID?

Have you done Tate Modern?

I think if you read the website (and my memory is working) they only release tickets 2 weeks before.

Oh god don't bother. It's noisy like a school canteen and it smells of rotting vegetation like cabbage!

I like the Garden at 120. No booking reqd, although sometimes there’s a queue. There’s a restaurant underneath.

Great views of the Gherkin etc.

I tried last week. I turned up as I couldn’t get a ticket online. They refused entry.

No, not done Tate.

The Tate Modern is free, have a mooch around the exhibitions, there's a cafe and you can do views from the outdoor area

Good idea. I’ll try it.

A girl I work with goes for breakfast when she has family in town as the easiest way of getting in - might work!

We are staying in Kingston this time so will be heading out of central London for a bit. And, our hotel has breakfast included.

I will keep an eye out for tickets on Monday but I’ll probably got to the Tate at some point, or St. Paul’s.

As a pp has said, it’s the Monday three weeks before you go (so this coming Monday, tickets will become available for week commencing Nov 6th). My family and another family are going to London for a few days over half term - 9 of us in total - and I managed to get 9 tickets on the Monday morning a couple of weeks ago. I presume you don’t need as many as that so you should have no problems!

I’ve been before as well (just a friend and me). It’s great up there! Amazing views. Can’t complain for free! Enjoy!

If you book to eat you don't need to book tickets, iyswim. The first time we went we had a sharing plate in the bar, the second time we ate in the restaurant (incredibly noisy). Actually we also went for brunch once too.
All pre COVID so some time ago.
