A day in London

Spending a day in London with friends including 3 11year olds and 14year olds. Have searched the previous posts about London. Would have loved the Kensington Palace fashion exhibition but it finishes at the end of October. We will be there in November. There was also a court room play mentioned but it has limited tickets for the day. Any other suggestions would be welcomed

Depends if you are doing it for the kids or for you!

My 12 year olds love Camden I hate it it is now what it was, China Town, the bloody M&M store, Covent Garden, an Uber boat ride and a wander around Southbank particularly the skateboarding.

There is a new free viewing platform at Horizon 22 in the City that is higher than the Shard, technically, as it is on a higher piece of land but still looks down on the Shard if you want to go into the City. Could also then do Brick Lane and Petticoat Lane market.

Agree with @cocksstrideintheevening if you're doing it for the kids.
My son loved getting the train to Southbank and Camden when he was 12/13 and on school holidays and his dad and I were both at work. He wasn't allowed to and got caught out when I heard the train announcement when I called him!

Depending on budget you could go to one of the show. Wicked or Hamilton have songs the kids will know. There is a funny little museum on the South Bank called The Clink, which takes you underground to the old prison.

If fashion appeal look at the Victoria and Albert museum, it's not usually quite a crazily busy as the other main museums. My dc loved China town at that age, also Greenwich via boat is fun, the maritime museum is free

The fashion exhibition at Kensington Palace was very boring. Well, I thought so. I’d do something much more exciting!

Lots of great suggestions. Wicked has some good priced tickets. Can you get a barge to Camden or am I thinking of somewhere entirely different? Have done quite a lot of the Southbank, China Town and Greenwich. Thank you all

Boat trip, Yorkshire burrito at Camden market, Moomin shop, Brandy Melville.
Ice cream from China Town.
I follow Pretty Little London on IG and they have good bakeries etc to try.
