Has anyone here been to one of the Luxury Family Hotels resorts in the uk?

I’m staying at New Park Manor soon and I just wandered if anyone has any tips or recommendations at all - is the film club thing worth a visit? What’s the best thing on the menu? Any outdoor activities? How was the service?

we’re only staying for one night but I’m considering a little trip to a nearby attraction first and then checking in a little later in the day. Not sure if I’m trying to squeeze in too much though.

Stayed at Fowey Hall Hotel 4 weeks ago and honestly, we left early because the service was awful…not what you expect at £600+ a night. Meals were an absolute shambles. Wrong items, no items, undercooked, 1hr wait for starters, couldn’t confirm it was free of an allergy trigger I have…..it became a sad running joke.

Very inconsistent rules re dog in outdoor pool area. Management said no, but some guests didn’t like this so questioned the ladies who delivered towels to the area and were told dogs there is fine! Management were told of this and decided to not implement their own regulations. Not fair for those who obliged.
