We went to the Prestatyn pontins the weekend before half term.

We got a cheapie...paid £80 for 4 of us in the top chalet. I have never been before so have nothing to compare it too (never been pontins at all) it was ok, the chalet was basic, if we had of paid £200 i would have asked for a refund.

The entertainment was good for the kids, and loads of activites for kids to do, also the beach is literally 5 mins away, Rhyl is about 10-15mins away in car.

So all in all it was a good break for the money, the on site shop isn't a rip off either (Haven shop is!)

Nemo...Well my friend works for the booking line for Pontins so she got some discount, but iirc it wasn't much cheaper than the website price if you get me.

We booked back in Oct though, not sure what deals are on atm, we went Friday to Monday.

Should have added, that although the chalet was basic, it was clean, and fine really, i was just a little shocked at first at the fact the CLUB class was so small etc. Its fine though, as you don't spend that much time in there anyway as there is plenty to do.

There is a good soft play area too, which is free and i found it a godsend for ds (18 mth).

Pontins does seems to work that the more in advance you book the better the deal, as i said ours wasn't a last min booking, so check it out you may get a bargain.
