Hi all we want to take dc to London for a 2 night break over Oct half term. We can go and come back any day.
Does anyone have any advice about hotels or places to stay? Thanks

Greenwich London premier inn is £260 for 24th & 25th for a family room, that’s £130 a night.

If you're wanting to stay a out of main centre to reduce cost, we've stayed at The Crown in Cricklewood with our 2 dc before. Family rooms available and breakfast included. It's a nice walk/short bus ride from tube station on the main tube lines. Staff were lovely.

Non refundable room for the same dates is £224

the earlier you book the cheaper it will be.

you can get the river bus, tube or bus to famous sight. Yes it’s not very central but it’s a much better price

These are two great ideas thanks. The Greenwich Premier Inn is cheaper than any I managed to find. I'll have a look at nothing of these. Thanks

Check out the Holiday Inn Express London Hammersmith. I've flagged this one for a possible date next year in the holidays. It's £98 for a family room including breakfast

Where are you coming in from /going out of?

Ewock · 18/09/2023 21:43

Will be coming in and out of Euston. But really don't mind travelling about

The Hub by Premier Inn at Goodge Street . Only 5 mins from Euston and also super convenient for British museum, British library, Tottenham Court Road, Covent Garden etc

We stayed at the premier inn near Euston. It was great. Just a short walk from the station and easy access to the main sites. Our family room was great. It was really big and the kids both had full size single beds. I’d definitely stay there again.

the hub won’t do family rooms. I think Greenwich is a good bet- lots to do round there as well

We stay at the Wembley Park Premier Inn. It's dead quick / easy to get in and out of the centre on the Jubilee line (it's also on the Metropolitan line). It tends to be a fair bit cheaper than others.
