Queuing times at amusement parks - October Half Term

We're thinking of going to an amusement park for a couple of days during October half term and I was wondering whether anyone knows how long the queues are likely to be for kids rides.

We went to Paultons Park last year and found that there was very little queuing outside of Peppa Pig World (probably max 40 mins there).

I was wondering about places like Drayton Park or Alton Towers, but anywhere that is vaguely accessible from London for a couple of days would be good.

Based on our experience of Alton Towers this summer, I’d say it is unmanageable queue-wise in school holidays unless you get fast track passes and, based on the total lack of traffic management (last two miles to the park took almost two hours), I’d look to stay on site the night before. Without the passes you could be looking at 2 hour queues for the big rides.
