Do you protect your car seat when flying

Just been told we need to check in our car seats at the gate. Anyone who has done this flying from London did you protect your seats in anyway and if so how?

If your luggage is anything to go by I'm sure they'll be thrown from one place to another Grin

We put ours in bags so they didn’t get filthy. But no padded protection.

By bags, I mean car seat bags - you can get them on Amazon.

We used a sturdy bin liner and parcel tape! Easy to do at the gate.

I‘m obviously mad, but I used to wrap mine up in bubble wrap before putting them in storage bags (often with nappies or towels in as well)

i used a car seat bag and filled it with nappies too. car seat was still broken. don't fly at all with them now...don't tend to need them the other side on a transfer bus/ taxi

We use a padded car seat bag. They're really sturdy and do offer a lot more protection than the unpadded ones.
