Tips for taking a 4 month old on UK break

Hi everyone, first time mum-to-be here. DH and I are wanting to book a UK break for when our soon to be daughter is around 4 months old. We have a dog so always do self catering with an enclosed garden for ease.

We’re usually pretty ok at planning for what we want and would usually favour quieter countryside places with access to a pub and long walks. But with this being our first baby we have no idea whether we should be changing our criteria. Is there anything in particular we should be considering? Eg making sure it’s within a few hours drive / all on one level / within a village or town rather than out in the countryside / etc? Or am I overthinking this? Would appreciate any tips!

You don't have to change a lot really. Just factor in that you might be more tired than usual and account for places you might want to take a buggy rather than carry your daughter in a sling. At four months babies are basically still accessories 😅 We've only started to get into difficulty now with our son at 2.5 as he has opinions 😂

I'd just go with what you usually do for now. LO won't be mobile so you don't need to worry about stairs or stair gates. When they're older they might appreciate other DC to play with and a shop but right now she'll be happy as long as she's with you.
