Peak District Suggestions - fairly close to Sheffield

Hello!
Any suggestions for places to book an air bnb in Oct for a couple of nights? Nice dog walks and pubs - close to Sheffield so daughter can join us from Uni at the weekend?

Thanks!

Bakewell is a very attractive town with all the amenities you could need and probably has a decent choice on Airbnb. It’s about 45 mins from central Sheffield. There are some nice villages a bit closer, like Baslow and Hathersage but you might not find anything there on Airbnb.
There are nice walks along the Monsal Trail and from Bakewell you can walk to Haddon Hall or Chatsworth.

We loved Hathersage. Enough there i n terms of restaurants, hotel and pubs, quick drive from Sheffield, train station, great walks from the door, outdoor heated pool and the David Mellor factory shop is there too.

This is the AirBnB we stayed in: air.tl/QKC4V97N

I’d stay in Hope. Hathersage is too busy.

@Fivemoreminutes1 great thank you! I will look at Bakewell as that sounds great!

@MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet thank you - also looks lovely and the air bnb you had is so nice. It's not pet friendly, and we've not decided if we're taking our dog or not, but if we are not, then it's ideal for us.

@MinnieMountain thank you looks good too!

Have a look at Robin Hood Farm. I know they’re dog friendly.
