Cheaper alternative to Centerparks

Hi there. I'm looking for a weekend break away for myself, my girlfriend, my daughter and her two children, one of who has a life limiting muscle wasting condition. We looked at Centerparcs for November but their prices are ridiculous. Swimming pool is a must, as that appeals to everyone.

So, can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative, reasonable driving distance from Corby/Birmingham.

Many thanks all.

Bluestone or Landal Darwin Forest

Many thanks. I will have a look at those two The swimming area is a big must so that would be the deciding factor. I have heard good stories about Bluestone.

Any more ideas please?

It’s a bit far for you, but Warmwell in Dorset is excellent.

Bluestone is fantastic but it’s not that much cheaper than Center Parcs these days. It’s nicer though.

Sandy balls?

Landal Darwin Forest is nice, but not a patch on Center parcs (and not that much cheaper last time I looked!). The swimming pool especially is very basic - just a smallish pool, no slides etc.

I think if you want a pool as good as Center Parcs, you need to go to Center Parcs and suck up the cost. Neither Butlins Minehead nor Bognor had better pools, and aren’t much cheaper in any event.

Butlins is loads cheaper than centre parcs. And a brilliant pool at Bognor.

Butlins Minehead

We've had really cheap off-peak breaks at Bluestone in the past but outgrown now, unfortunately.

Ribby hall in Preston is lovely and much cheaper than Center parcs

Either Potters Resorts Hopton-on-Sea or Butlins Bognor Regis

Butlins Bognor Regis has a new pool that is mainly aimed at young children, because it is new it has been built to be accessible to wheelchair user.

The only issue is weekends are often aimed at adults (music weekends) although they do family weekends too
