Great place to stay in Yorkshire

I'm looking for somewhere great to go away with a couple of friends for a big birthday. It could be a great hotel, boutique B&B, self-catering...I'm not so bothered. But I want something special or unusual. Any ideas? I've done lots of research but lots of 'cool' places are suitable for 2 but not 3 of us.

Also- I realise this is quite broad but at the moment I'm opened. We'll be travelling from Leeds but we could go coastal, Yorkshire Dales, Yorkshire Moors or a city break like York.

Yorkshire is a massive county so you'd probably be better of staying what sort of break you are looking for North York Moors , Coast , Dales , city of York , Harrogate.?

Tickton Grange is nice enough but not really
special; it’s a bog standard country house hotel tbh and not in a particularly nice part of the countryside. Handy for Beverley though!

Depends what you call unusual I suppose but this is definitely special and not too far from you . Our absolute favourite place to stay - lovely rooms and suites, cottages, amazing spa, great food, friendly and attentive service etc etc. Not the cheapest but well worth it

We had a very snooty reception there when we wanted lunch. Went elsewhere.
It's not in Yorkshire but maybe OP is flexible.

Our self-catering apartment sleeps four. We are within walking distance of some fantastic shops, pubs and restaurants as well as the Alpamare spa. We have had a few groups of friends in who have loved their girly stay ☀️🌊.

There are a few National Trust properties in the grounds of Fountains Abbey. They’re nicely decorated although no hot tubs or anything like that. But you have access to Fountains after the gates shut which would mean the potential to sit and have lovely drinks/fish and chips in glorious surroundings all to yourself.
