Overnight stay with 4 year old next week before he starts school

My DS starts school on the 11th so want to make the most of staying somewhere where it will be cheaper and less kids as most will be at school
I looked into Legoland but getting there from Yorkshire and by public transport is abit awkward.
Any other suggestions?

Gullivers theme parks have cute stay and play packages with various themed accommodation

We did legoland from the NE last year and found it really easy - train direct from Darlington to kings X (2.5 hours) day in London Then another train out to Slough (20 mins)

stayed over in Slough. Uber into legoland (15 min drive)

we actually stayed 2 nights and came home the day after legoland to make a weekend of it

Train up to Edinburgh. Scottish schools are already back so attractions should be a bit quieter.

There is an indoor Lego Experience place in Manchester. I’ve not been so don’t know if it’s any good.

I've been. It's about an hour's entertainment max.

Oh that’s a shame! Good to know though, I was thinking of planning a visit but it’s a long way so doesn’t sound worth the bother

Lovely cottages on a farm, daily feeding and petting of sheep, goats and small animals.
Lovely playroom and indoor swimming pool.
I took my daughter for a weekend when she was in reception class and we had a lovely time. Id highly recommend.
