Just that really. 7 am flight, very unhealthy and expensive breakfast options at the airport.
What is your go to brown bag breakfast?

It depends how long it’s going to be from leaving refrigeration to eating, and it depends if you want to eat pre/post security (and rules on liquids) but some options I’ve done before:

Spinach Egg Muffins (crustless quiche / frittata type) with or without cheese / ham / other veggies

Overnight oats (can be tricky if they’re deemed liquids)

Baked oatmeal with nut butter and fruit

Homemade granola bars with seeds, nuts and fruit

If there is a Pret at the airport there are usually some okay options - they’ve often got a Bircher muesli which is nice, or a vegan / veggie breakfast wrap or roll

Pret porridge

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 12/08/2023 17:56

Bagel & peanut butter.

MagpiePi · 12/08/2023 18:00

sandwiches, or rice cakes and peanut butter, and fruit.

You don’t have to have cereal/toast/porridge/fry up/pancakes for breakfast.

calmcoco · 12/08/2023 18:02

I'd have lots of fruit and a cheese scone..

TenOhSeven · 12/08/2023 18:03

I take a bagel with Philadelphia cheese, banana and carton of orange juice. And buy a chocolate flapjack if there happens to be an M&S open!

Fivemoreminutes1 · 12/08/2023 18:03

Peanut butter and banana wholemeal sandwich. Recently I’ve been using these bagel thins groceries.asda.com/product/sandwich-thins/warburtons-seeded-protein-thin-bagels/1000004704763

bryceQ · 12/08/2023 18:03

Honestly I wouldn't take stuff I would just buy porridge at pret or their veggie roll.

Whataretheodds · 12/08/2023 18:03

Pret Porridge or egg and spinach pot or protein box.

Coronationstation · 13/08/2023 17:30

Bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese or jam and peanut butter. I’ve always assumed overnight oats would get classed as a liquid, but that’s my go to train breakfast. Likewise, your peanut butter would need to spread on whatever you’re putting it on, if it’s in a tub it’s a liquid / paste but if it’s on bread it’s not!

BitOutOfPractice · 13/08/2023 17:31

Frittata!

Louloulouenna · 13/08/2023 17:32

I make date and muesli cookies, sandwiches or banana bread. Never travel anywhere without our own food!

hopeishere · 13/08/2023 17:39

I would eat before I left the house.

I would eat before I left the house.

For a 7am flight, that's probably 4am 🕓

Caspianberg · 13/08/2023 17:47

Nah. Always have a Pret bacon roll and cup of tea from London. Pot of fruit if I fancy. It doesn’t really matter for a few times a year max.

Great ideas!!! Just baked carrot zucchini frittata with feta! Planning to pack it with fresh fruit and have them with a cup of coffee 🤩
