Hello, I will try to keep it as short as possible but I really need your help if you have been in this situation,
My sons father recently told me he wants nothing to do with his son although telling me that I can "do what I want and take him wherever I want" since he doesn't want to be in his life he coudnt care less what I would do but that also means he woudnt care to write a letter of consent to take him on holiday. So my question for you... is the letter a must will I be allowed to take my son on holiday without a letter or do I have to apply for a court order
Ps father is on birth certificate and has his surname but we were never married

My DH has taken my kids without any permission letter, so just take his birth cert to show you are mum. We are married so it’s different, but passport control won’t know you’re not married.
