London - cable cars

I'd like to take my two DSs on the cable car to Greenwich - I've found a website which does one way tickets, starting from central London on the Uber boat (we would be starting in Waterloo) - but can't find a return ticket incorporating the Uber boat back to central London. Am I missing something?!

What website is this? Is it the Uber boat one or a 3rd party website. I have always just paid at the pier.

Do you really want to travel by boat back to central London? Waterloo is less than 15 minutes from Canning Town tube on the Jubilee line.

Isn’t it all just on oyster?

It's on a website called headout.

I thought buying in advance might make it simpler (and guarantee tickets) but it sounds as though I may as well just buy tickets there on the day?

My advice is avoid third party websites, they often come with hidden extras. If you buy tickets on the day it allows for sudden changes for whatever reason.

Use contact less bank card for adults and you can buy child tickets at the boats directly

I wouldn't buy in advance, sure it will cost much more. Just tap Oyster on the Uber boat, same for the cable car, and return from North Greenwich to Waterloo on the Jubilee line. bear in mind where the cable car arrives is quite a walk into actual Greenwich, if you plan to visit there.

There's no need to buy in advance . Just tap your bank card as you go on like the tube. The museum is great for kids in greenwich

We just paid before we got on.
