Cornwall suggestions for holiday park vibes

We’re going to stay in near Perranporth in Cornwall, staying in a caravan, but the site doesn’t have entertainment/pool/arcades etc. our 5 year old loves all of this, so I was looking for any suggestions on places nearby where we can give a similar holiday…any parks that allow paying day visitors for example or accept non guests? I checked out haven and park dean but they need to be staying on site, which is totally understandable. If not, any suggestions of places to visit nearby? Is the Eden project worth a visit?

Eden's good if you've not been before, but a fair amount of walking. I wouldn't pay full price for it personally. Have you tried Monkey Tree or Hendra? Both hol parks quite close to Perranporth, although I'm not sure if they allow day visitors in season

Agree check Hendra and Monkey tree.

If it rains don’t go to Eden. Carnage. Personally I prefer Heligan.

Dairyland is good fun too. Lappa Valley is ace.

It is about 30 minute drive but Camel Creek theme park is perfect for this age, loads of rides and fun things to do for a full day out. Book online for cheaper tickets and bring a picnic as the food isn't great.

Camel Creek shut down last week.

Smoothyloopy · 21/07/2023 17:57

Sorry, its gone bust but is remaining open for now.

Oh really! Yes I was there last week so I think it is still operating. Shame if it closes.

Yes, camel creek has gone into administration but is still open as normal. Definitely worth a visit.

Eden is so expensive. It's ridiculous. We get a locals pass which is fine but full price just for one visit (you get a year admission) is not worth it imo.

Newquay has a small zoo, and there's a fun swimming pool opposite (same car park) and at the top of the car park is a trampoline park and soft play. There's a really good play park just next to the zoo too.

Great - thanks a lot everyone. I'll check with those sites. We are staying with family, otherwise we would have booked something like that so it would be great if we could pay for a similar facilities nearby! We have some free eden project tickets so might be worth a trip if you're saying would visit but not pay full price.

Hendra holiday park has a great pool and you can visit as non-residents.

Hi can anyone recommend a good holiday park please near st Ives of Perranporth that has good facilities (pool ect) restaurants & entertainment or anywhere in Cornwall close to lovely beaches please for me my husband and our two year old.
Thanks.

There's a Haven just outside St Ives, (Riviere Sands I think). Its not for everyone, I know, but I find the advantage of Haven is it's like premier inn, you know what you're going to get.

It's not a big one, but has the normal food and pool and stuff. The beach access is down a steep hill of loose sand that's hard work to get back up. DC thought it was fun, I was glad to get to the top! 😂
