Hi, we are travelling with our just turned 2 year old at the weekend. I think he will be too big for the travel cots that they provide so I was wondering if anyone knew if I took my own bed rail this would be able to fit to the single sofa bed for him? Thank you!

From memory, I don’t think so but you could put cushions on the floor next to the bed.

We used to push the chair in the room against the bed when DD was little and put a few cushions on the floor. It worked for us.

I am on one right now with a 3 year old. If it one of the bed rails that has legs that slide between the bed and the mattress you will be fine. They basically turn the sofa in the room to a bed and it’s just a mattress on a divan base.

If you link the one you have OP, I can let you know. We have this one and it’s fine https://amzn.eu/d/f4Y8lqv

Thank you so much @Kingsparkle - that is a MASSIVE help. Sounds silly but I've been really worried about it and where he is still only just 2 have been worried that just a pillow on the floor wouldn't help. But that's really reassuring that this one you've linked does the trick - onto Amazon now!.... 😁

No worries OP, hope the trip goes well. We love that safety rail, so handy for home and trips away.

Oh and to reassure you the sofa beds are quite low to the ground. DS hurtled himself off it first day before we got the barrier on and is fine, toddlers bounce 😆

A trick I've seen work is to put a pool noodle under the bottom sheet... its a just enough of a barrier to make them roll the other way.
