Scarborough dinner venue

Hello, I wonder if anyone is able to help, please? We're off to Scarborough to see Pulp at the weekend, and will have Saturday night/Sunday day before the gig. Does anyone know the area and can suggest somewhere for food on Saturday night? Not something fancy-fancy - I'm only bringing trainers and Birkestocks so not a dressy place - but nicer than a chain, preferably somewhere we can book in advance.

We're staying at the Grand Hotel (I know it's apparently a tip but it looks very Instagrammable!) if that helps.

Cafe Fish is really nice if you fancy fish, you could definitely rock up in Birkenstocks

Love fish but DP is allergic - I always eat it when he's away for work! Burger and fries is fine, I'll check that out, thank you.

I go to Scarborough quite often, my favourite restaurant is Giannis which is walkable from the Grand and from the OAT. Wherever you go you will need to book.

Bellyrub!

Gianni's looks perfect - just rang to book and they are closed for holidays until tomorrow which is a pain! Bellyrub looks lovely too, might try there for lunch on Sunday, although I also have a hankering for fish and chips out of a paper package.

El gringos is lovely, and walkable from the grand. Also florios is a reasonable option.

I'm not sure if it's still open but George Michael's Greek restaurant is really good & not far from the hotel. Its quite small but a good atmosphere. Are you at the Open Air Theatre? I hope the weather is better than last time I went!

Only just seen this ; hope you had a good meal . Can recommend the Hideout for pre-concert food/drinks though booking essential . Enjoy Pulp!
