DD1 will be starting school in Sept and I am thinking ahead already to holidays in school holidays. And having looked, they are even more extortionate than I thought they would be!!
Does anyone have any tips of websites or places to go that don’t cost a complete bomb? Or is it a case of booking yonks in advance? I have a 4 & 2 year old, I’m really not fussed on anything glamorous while they are little, just something basic with enough near by to keep them occupied. UK holidays only at the moment too, the thought of taking little ones on a plane makes me shudder. TIA

Eurocamp holidays on the ferry to France. Cheaper than self catering in the UK in the usual tourist hot spots.

Camping is the way to go - much cheaper and you can let the kids run wild!

Another vote for Eurocamp holidays. Usually cheaper in May half term and very end of August. We’ve had amazing holidays in France, Italy and The Netherlands. Plenty of UK breaks as well usually in our own tent. We go to Pembrokeshire a lot as DH is from there and his parents are there. We like Scolton cottages which have an indoor pool and little country park with a fab play area next door.

Maybe do a house swap?
