Overnight stay half an hour from Great Malvern

I'm looking for a one night stay somewhere within a half hour drive or a train ride away from Great Malvern as a birthday gift. Ideally somewhere outside of Malvern itself as that's where the recipient lives but they don't want to spend long in a car. I'm looking for something that would be a bit of a treat, e.g lovely food, pretty setting, etc. Any suggestions?

If budget isn’t an issue, then Pensons. I haven’t stayed but heard it’s absolutely amazing.

I could second Pensons in Tenbury. Abs fantastic food with lovely non-pretentious staff. Overnight rooms gorgeoustoo. But ££££.
Cheaper but also delightful either the Elms or the manor arms both at abberley.

Ooh thank you, I'll have a look at those. Budget isn't extensive but I'll enjoy a nose at the Pensons website anyway!

How about one of the hotels in or near Broadway?
