Can anyone recommend a hotel that will not accept dogs please? Organising a surprise trip with an allergic friend for her 50th so after a bit of luxury and no rash/sneezing! Ideally a country house hotel with or without a spa.

I had a similar problem when booking for my DH last year. We wanted to go to Calcot Manor so I rang them up and was assured that dogs are only allowed in certain rooms and not allowed in the restaurant, spa or main house. We stayed in one of the rooms that never had dogs and DH was absolutely fine.

The Pig hotels don’t accept dogs.

Wrong location sorry! I thought they had one in the Cotswolds but it doesn’t look like they do.

Thanks both. I hadn't realised but it makes sense to have dog free rooms. That's really good to know that even a dog friendly hotel won't automatically allow a dog into the main building etc. My friend wouldn't be able to eat with a dog sat nearby.

Can you guarantee completely dog free? There may be blind or disabled guests with assistance dogs who can't be turned away.

In that instance I'm assuming we can be seated outside away from an assistance dog but will obviously be checking before booking what their stance is. That's why I was after somewhere that doesn't allow pets.
