Lovely family country hotel in Scotland

I'm beginning to think what we're looking for doesn't exist! Can anyone recommend a naice (but not ridiculous £££), friendly country house hotel with big rooms and a swimming pool somewhere in Scotland. Ideally somewhere that does dbb and welcomes older primary school aged children?

Peebles Hydro. we had a lovely time there last October

We've been to the isles of glencoe. It's on the edge of a loch so maybe not what you are after but it's lovely. X
