Glamping in Padstow, Cornwall in August

Is it a gigantic mistake to go there for 3 nights peak season?

Glamping location is quiet but wanted to do things like Merlin’s cave, the castle and St Nectans Glen.

Two young pre school kids in tow.

Any experience?

It will be heaving.

And probably raining 🤣.

But go for it - we had all sorts of adventures like this when ours were little. If you go expecting crowds and rain, you may be pleasantly surprised

Padstow is ruined by crowds unfortunately. I’d go for a quieter area if it has to be August.

Actually, if they are pre-schoolers and you don’t have to holiday in school holidays, come down in June or September. It should be quieter and the weather is still good 😊

Yes I have to ask, if they're preschoolers why are you going in the peak season?

The three attractions you mention are in Tintagel, which is a fair drive from Padstow - perhaps 60 mins in high summer. Pity you can't find somewhere to stay a bit nearer (and perhaps inland slightly as may be a bit quieter)
