Does it need to be Manchester Centre?
If not have a look at this one here - I keep trying to think of an excuse to stay here even though I only live in Cheshire over the border !!

The Midland Hotel on St Peter's Square is classy in an old style way. Had a night in one of their suites recently, and it was spendid. It'd the hotel the slebs try to book into first.

lordy hasn't it changed since my student days. swanky hotels in didsbury, selfridges and harvey nichols.....who'd of thought?! god I'd have KILLED for a Harvey Nichols in 1989, sigh...
