Forest of Dean next week !!

Going to stay in a small village in the Forest Of Dean ...nearby town is Lydney but only 5 miles ish to Monmouth
Any thoughts on places to see,places to eat ..anything really !
Two adults no pets self catering

Sculpture trail at beechenhurst is nice but can get busy at weekends....Ditto mallards pike and cannop. More pretty walks than you can shake a stick at but I've always loved Soudley..

Tintern Abbey is worth a visit with nice walks along the river. Symonds Yat, not far from Monmouth, is also nice, picturesque with boat trips. I haven’t been, but Puzzle Wood looks like it might be fun.

Puzzle wood is lovely and definitely worth a visit
