Hotel with teens in Liverpool?

I'm hoping to book a getaway for our for me, DH and 15 y.o. to Liverpool. We usually stay at Premier Inns wherever we go anywhere, especially London, but we're hoping to do something a bit more unique this time round.
Have seen availability at The Resident, is this any good? For reference, we'd be there early/midweek, and not during the weekend party scene.
Any other shouts? Thanks!

As its on my door step we just travel home.
The Titanic hotel is nice but its a short taxi ride or very long cold walk out of the city, its in an old industrial area opposite the new Everton stadium which is still under construction.
The Resident is in a back street but don't knock it as is a very short walk to Bold street which is great for alternative shopping a great food, but the streets off it are alive at night loads going on.
Its also walkable to the main sites, Bombed out Church, Moose on Hope Street for breakfast, Two Cathedrals. See if the hotel have any parking spaces or deals or try here
This is a good safe carpark open 24 hours if you walk through the streets its a short walk to the Resident

The Hidden gem in Liverpool is the Watersport’s centre it does a Speed Boat ride through the docks which is a great way to see the history and if you are up for it they take you to a dock with no speed limit and take the boat to full speed, its cold so wrap up, but fantastic, last time I looked it was £50 for a family of 4.

They also do lots of other activities so well worth a look.
